Problems for cutting stainless steel with thin-walled parts and improvement measures Geometric tolerance, one of the reasons for geometric tolerance for forming and position is the incorrect clamping method of parts. The inner end surface for special soft jaw (L13 has length limit) is not clamped tightly on the left side of the part. The other is that chip remains on special soft jaw when clamping parts, which affects clamping accuracy and results in errors after machining stainless steel thin-walled parts. Geometric tolerance for forming and position cannot meet the requirements of drawings. Firstly, when clamping the workpiece, ensure that the left side for the part is closed to the inner side for the special soft jaw for cutting and processing without clearance. It can be checked by light transmission whether it is tight or not. If there is obvious light transmission, it is not tight. Therefore, it needs to be re-installed and adjusted. The second is need to check if there are any residual chips on the inner wall for the special soft jaws for cutting and processing when clamping the workpiece. If so, clean them in time.
